We cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd International Conference “Lakes & Reservoirs: Hot Spots and Topics in Limnology”, which will be held from September 24th to September 26th, 2024, in Gdańsk, one of the most iconic and picturesque cities in Poland, renowned for its beautiful architecture and vibrant atmosphere at the Baltic Sea. The conference will take place in Uphagen Mansion (ARCHE Dwór Uphagena), located in the center of Gdańsk.
The conference is organized by the Polish Limnological Society in cooperation with the Romanian Limnogeographical Association and with the partnership of the University of Gdańsk under the honorary patronages of its Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography. Previous editions were also organized in Poland, first in 2016 (Iława, Warmia–Masuria, Poland) and second in 2019 (Mikorzyn, Greater Poland, Poland), and were attended by researchers from Europe, Asia, and South America.
The main aim of the summit is to share, exchange, enrich, and enforce the experience on the ecology, complexity, and diversity of freshwater environments, their restoration and management, risk assessments, and control and mitigation measures. Plenary lectures with renowned experts, oral sessions, and short communications will be accompanied by gala dinner and a field scientific trip to Slovinski National Park.
